Before there was the venue, there was the station.

Recording artist and author Chaye Alexander is the visionary behind Chayz Lounge, shaping its experience as brand architect. She has redefined hospitality not as service, but as a feeling. Rooted in her Sophisti-Soul philosophy, the venue reflects Curated Moments. Soulful Sounds. Elevated Experiences. Every detail is intentional, designed to create moments that linger long after the last note fades.

She is also the creator of Chayz Lounge Radio, the 24/7 streaming station blending smooth jazz with soulful sophistication. The concept first sparked in 2004. Chaye envisioned a virtual space where legendary grooves and fresh discoveries could coexist in harmony.

In 2009, that vision came to life with the launch of her online station under the name Chayz Lounge, which soon resonated with soulful listeners around the world. Her visionary approach set the station apart, shaping the future of online radio and creating a space for listeners to explore a rich, diverse musical landscape.

As its popularity grew, so did the dream of a physical space that reflected the same soulful sophistication. In 2017, Chaye expanded her vision into a boutique venue bearing the name Chayz Lounge, renaming the station Chayz Lounge Radioto carry its legacy forward.

In 2019, she relocated the Lounge to its current home at 607 Meeting Street in West Columbia’s River District, where guests enjoy exceptional live music, delectable cuisine, and expertly crafted cocktails in an intimate, elegant setting. [Read more below]
