Chaye Alexander is the visionary behind Chayz Lounge, where she curates unique Jazz & Soul experiences. Originally launched as an internet radio station under the name Chayz Lounge, it quickly gained a global following with its smooth jazz and soul blend, becoming a favorite among listeners. Driven by her vision, Chaye expanded Chayz Lounge into a physical venue, opening in the backroom of Nonnah’s restaurant in 2017. Just two years later, she moved it to its current home on Meeting Street in West Columbia, SC, where guests enjoy live music, great food, and crafted cocktails in an intimate, elegant setting.

A renaissance woman and trailblazer with a career spanning over three decades, Chaye Alexander has established herself as a respected figure known for curating Jazz & Soul experiences with style. Absolutely loved the experience! The band was awesome and interactive. The food was delicious! (I had seared salmon (cooked to perfection) that came with pita bread and a delicious dipping sauce and a garden salad (large portion) .) The staff were professional and friendly. This venue is perfect!! If you're looking to have a wonderful night out with great Jazz music look no further!! This is the perfect place with perfect food, perfect Jazz, and perfect environment!! I would give this venue well over 5 stars!! You can't beat the classy environment and awesome staff!! I would go on and on but that would be ranting!! I cant wait to visit Columbia SC again and this venue is definitely in all future plans!! Great job owner!!

Let me start by saying this place was amazing! From the second we walked in the door the owner and staff were so friendly and the atmosphere was just perfect. The wife said the shrimp and grits were best she ever had and the music was out of this world so much talent on that stage. I would recommend this place to anyone seeking a nice night out. Can't wait to book again.

I drove from Charlotte to experience this spot. This is an upscale spot for grown folks. It's classy, food is amazing, drinks were exquisite and the live entertainment is amazing. And the owner Miss Chaye...just a beautiful soul. I will be returning.
